“Pizqit” is a made-up word that happened when I made a typing error in high school. However, instead of being laughed off and forgotten, it became almost a term of endearment, particularly when shortened to “Piz”.

 

To me, it’s a word that conjures images of naïve awe and youthful drive for exploration and adventure, perhaps in spite of the treacherous path the journey might take the traveler.

 

The physical embodiment of Pizqit is a small rag doll.
